The existing terraced slope in the backyard receives full sun; hence it is an ideal location to grow edibles, be it perennial or annual. Client’s desire to grow fruits, gourmet salads and ethnic veggies is fulfilled.

Strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, Asian pear, grapes, artichokes, garlic, tomatoes, cucumbers, peas, beans, potatoes, evergreen bunching onions, Korean chard, perilla (shiso), cabbages, lettuce, kale, squash, Asian long beans – the variety grown here is amazing.

Crop plans and crop rotations reduces impact of pests, pathogens and weeds. Inter-planting the crops with flowers attracts beneficial insects and pollinators. Drip irrigation on automatic timers improves growth with uniform watering.
